Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best and it ain’t no lie

If you put me to the test, if you let me try

Take a chance on me

(That’s all I ask of you honey)

Take a chance on me

So we’re doing something with this new product line that we have NEVER attempted before.  We are actively seeking out wholesale accounts.  With the baby line, we’d get requests for wholesale orders.  And we got an account or two from those inquiries.  But we never sought out to do wholesale and it was never something we could grow.

When deciding whether or not to continue our baby line full time, one of the things in our con column was that it was financially impossible to have a wholesale baby line (we’re speaking for our brand, not others). We knew from the start that one of the revenue outlets for the new product line had to be wholesale.

Recently we were onboarded to Faire, which is an online wholesale marketplace for businesses like ours to sell to retailers. It’s exciting and scary.  We’ve only been live since the late December.  I have a great deal of fear that we won’t pick up any accounts.  That people won’t understand the product or just how happy customers are to buy it. Basically, I worry that it will be a failure. That I, in turn, will be a failure.

So this Abba song is gonna be my theme song for 2022.  I’m holding out hope that some retailer out there will take a chance on us.  And that eventually, we will have a whole host of wholesale accounts.  But until then, I will reside in my anxiety and worry about everything under the sun.
