As some of you may have heard, on March 23, 2021, the city of Atlanta announced that it will start issuing permits to Class E events!!! That “class E” part is irrelevant to most of you, but what it means is that MANY of the Atlanta festivals we know and love will be allowed to return starting on May 15, 2021! This is fabulous news! While it’ll most likely be 2022 before we see the larger events back in their full glory, we will at least see the return of things like the Piedmont Park Arts Festival and Chastain Park.
Of course, they’ll look a little different. Maybe there will be less artists or the layout will change to allow for social distancing between booths. I think we can assume we’ll all have to wear masks and there may be a cap on the number of attendees that can be in the festival footprint at any given time. But it’s a start to normalcy that I welcome with arms wide open!
Not Everyone is ready to venture out
There will be folks that still don’t feel safe attending an outdoor festival. And trust me when I say that I completely and totally understand that! 100% full disclosure, if my livelihood were not dependent on festivals, I too, would not be in attendance until next year. I will keep our website as up to date as I can with our current offerings. We pretty much ship all orders out with in 48 hrs (usually 24 hrs). So the shipping is very quick. And if you have not already, please join our mailing list (I’ll add a link at the bottom of this post). I will be sending monthly newsletters out and they often have a sale or coupon code listed.
What to expect from us if you do attend festivals this year
So for those of you that will venture out, here are some things to know about Courtney and I. We have both received our first dose of the vaccine. If everything goes as planned, we’ll have our second doses by the end of April. Even after we’ve been fully vaccinated, we will continue to wear masks (we actually wear two each) until the CDC says it is no longer necessary.
We keep a bottle of hand sanitizer at the booth for ourselves and we have a bottle on the front of the table for customers. Our booth is set up to allow for as much distance between us and customers as possible. Also, we have touch free payment options available. Neither of us will touch your credit card if you choose to pay by credit. You can pay by Venmo, cash app, or paypal electronically. And for those that carry it, we still accept cash and have change on hand. I think that covers all the bases.
Anyone that makes a purchase from us at a festival from now until the end of the year, will receive a coupon for 20% off any online purchase too.
Below is our current schedule for 2021. It can change at the drop of a hat, so be sure to check out our website for the most up to date schedule. We look forward to seeing you all soon! And as always, we appreciate any and all of the support you have shown our little family business over the years!
